What’s Happening in Development – Greenwood Rising Bringing Restoration to Greenwood District

All eyes have been on Tulsa since the groundbreaking of the Greenwood Rising. This state-of-the-art museum is one of the most anticipated projects that will contribute to the growth and revitalization of the Greenwood District, as well as honor the legacy of Black Wall Street. Despite the pandemic, the project appears to be making significant progress. This one-of-a-kind development is approximately 14,000 sq ft., of immersive and interactive experiences that are designed to familiarize locals and tourists with historical context surrounding the history, but also tell the story of how the massacre destroyed many lives, as well as a thriving, progressive and well-established community. With the support of the Hille Foundation, this project is housed on the Southeast corner in the heart of Greenwood and is scheduled to open in May 2021, 100 years after the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre.
